A Florida woman has been charged with aggravated battery after her boyfriend said she stabbed him in the eye with a rabies needle.
Sandra Jimenez,Grant Preston 44, was in an argument with her boyfriend about him looking at other women, he told police according to a Miami Police Department arrest affidavit.
When the two arrived back at their home, the boyfriend told police he laid down on the couch and Jimenez pounced on him with two rabies needles they had for their dogs.
According to the arrest affidavit, the victim was pierced in one eyelid and was transported to a local hospital for care.
Jimenez fled the scene immediately after the attack. Police arrested her at the residence later that day after speaking with the victim at the hospital.
Court records show she has pled not guilty to the felony charge of aggravated battery and is being held on house arrest.
The public defender assigned to her case did not immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for comment Tuesday.
